Wild 'N Out lives up to its name when Chance the Rapper and Nick Cannon go one-on-one.

Since we all need a little more Cannon in our lives, it's comforting to remember that the ninth (!) season of MTV's Wild 'N Out is just around the corner. The June 29 premiere features Chance the Rapper.

While Chance's recent live show in St. Paul showed how much he thrives in a elaborate theatrical setting, seeing Chance just freestyle off-the-top with Nick is such an unfiltered joy. Along with offering a glimpse into how Chance's mind works when putting rhymes together, it's just cool to see him cut loose with some light-hearted jabs at how Nick Cannon dresses himself.

Wild 'N Out is heavily emphasizing the "Freestyle comedy" element of the show in spots promoting the new season. Currently lined up for the rest of the season are Rick Ross, Run the Jewels, Lil Yachty, Vic Mensa, Blac Chyna, Jake Miller, Remy Ma, Papoose, Young M.A., Wendy Williams, Lil Rel Howery, Tami Roman, Shameik Moore and the cast of The New Edition Story.

- Vince Staples, who is gearing up to play our #BFGS with Wiz Khalifa on July 30, just unleashed his new track "Rain Come Down" with Ty Dolla $ign.

- Big Boi grabbed Gucci Mane and the late Pimp C for his new track "In The South."

- Remy Ma just dropped her "Mask Off" freestyle and, yes, she's still taking issue with her contemporaries.

- Gorillaz surprised fans with a whole new non-album song and video, "Sleeping Powder."

- Minnesota and Wisconsin's finest teamed up for Kweku Collins and Allan Kingdom's video "Aya."

- New Music Friday: this week we get four highly anticipated releases from Finding Novyon, Brockhampton, Vic Mensa and SZA.
