Drake took home 13 Billboard Music Awards and gave us a must-see acceptance speech and performance.
The 2017 Billboard Music Awards saw the Canadian rapper win a staggering amount of accolades, including Top Billboard Artist and Top Billboard Album for Views. Given that Adele's 12 wins in 2012 seemed like an immeasurable feat to overcome, from here on out we decree that anything in groups of 13 now be referred to as a "Drake's Dozen."
But Drake didn't just spend his Sunday winning statues. He performed "Glyachester" in the middle of the famous Bellagio fountain, and set social media on fire with an acceptance speech that saw him squash beef with Ludacris and hit on Vanessa Hudgens.
There was plenty of hip-hop to be had elsewhere on the Billboard Awards as well. Nicki Minaj opened the show with an elaborate medley performance and Diddy paid tribute to the late Notorious B.I.G. on what would have been Biggie's 45th birthday.
- Young M.A rolls up on critics with her new video for "Self M.Ade."
- Lil Yachty sails back into our lives with his agreeable new track "Yea."
- Snoop Dogg is preparing to bless us with a Gospel album. We're serious.
- RJ paints Los Angeles red with his new DJ Mustard-produced video "Brackin."
