The List: JAY-Z drops another trailer for 4:44
JAY-Z (now with all caps and hyphen) is giving us a fleeting glimpse of one of his latest tracks in another new trailer for 4:44.
While we don't hear any of Jigga actually rapping, or even see him, the production sounds incredibly promising. Coupled with the visual of a young black man running in a shirt with the message "STAY BLACK" ironed on the front of it, the black-and-white footage is framed in a style comparable to his 2004 "99 Problems" video.
Does this mean 4:44 will arrive on Friday with a full series of music videos like Beyoncé's Lemonade? We have only 48 hours to find out.
- Drake announced the line-up for the 8th annual OVO Fest, including PartyNextDoor, dvsn, Majid Jordan and Roy Wood$.
- Eminem and Kendrick Lamar rapped their favorite Prodigy verses for Peter Rosenberg's Prodigy tribute.
- Speaking of Prodigy, services for him and UTFO's The Educated Rapperare set to be the same day in New York.
- E-40 and his longtime collaborator/cousin B-Legit dropped an infectious new video for "Fo Sho."
- Kamaiyah's smooth XXLFreshman Freestyle is the best of this year's class so far.
