It's the Weeknd vs. the guy she told him not to worry about.
In the latest clip from Starboy, the Weeknd goes into the maze of deception that occurs when a supposedly special someone has "Secrets." Shot at the Toronto Reference Library (which action movie fans will recognize from the Red films) the space's unique layout seems not of this world and adds a stunning architecture to an artist whose accompanying visuals are usually preoccupied with open spaces.
Directed by Pedro Martin Calero (Hinds' "Warts," the really cool Honda commercial) "Secrets" is such a refreshing change from the look of the Weeknd's other Starboy clips that we genuinely have no idea what his next video will look like.
If this isn't enough new Weeknd for you, there's also his Apple exclusive new video with Future "Comin Out Strong."
- Chance the Rapper had fun at Bonnaroo over the weekend, performing covers of classic tracks by Outkast and Dr. Dre.
- Frank Ocean's first live show in three years this past weekend in Denmark was also a must-hear.
- Ice Cube dropped by HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher for a no-punches-pulled discussion on white privilege and a certain word.
- Bone Thugs are back with the wonderfully titled "If Heaven Had a Cell Phone."
