Litchfield pastor crunches numbers, seeks financial help through chips
A Litchfield pastor got an estimate of the cost of paving his church's gravel parking lot. It came to $100,000. Ouch. Chris Castilleja wondered where a small town church could come up with that kind of money.
Then he began to snap together the pieces. The Frito-Lay company is holding a contest. Submit a thirty-second commercial for Doritos and if your entry wins collect $1 million. Castilleja recruited his six-year-old daughter and his wife to for roles and came up with a spot that he tells KSTP is cute, catchy, and clean.
If his commercial doesn't win the grand prize, Castilleja's OK with that. Because even third place would be worth $400,000.
The Doritos folks will narrow the entries down to finalists and then the public will vote on them beginning in January.
