Keep your eyes on this post throughout the day because reports suggest Minnesota's search for a new football coach will go fast. There have been reports that Minnesota has and has not offered the job to Western Michigan head coach P.J. Fleck. Here's the latest.

3:49 p.m. – Michael Kim of 120 Sports reports that former LSU coach Les Miles was in the Twin Cities this morning and met with University of Minnesota officials.

3:33 p.m. – KSTP's Joe Schmidt is reporting a source close to Fleck said negotaions are on going but things are quiet for now.

2:44 p.m. – KARE 11's Ryan Shaver is confirming reports that suggest Minnesota has met with Fleck.

12:58 p.m. – "The Huge Show" out of Michigan is reporting what a lot of others are saying, including Fox 9, that Minnesota is close to a deal with Western Michigan's P.J. Fleck.

12:15 a.m. – The Associated Press says Penn State offensive coordinator Joe Moorhead turned down an offer to talk to the Gophers about the head coaching job.

10:30 p.m. (Wednesday) – KSTP's Joe Schmit tweeted that Minnesota athletics director Mark Coyle and president Eric Kaler met with Fleck in Chicago.

8:30 p.m. (Wednesday) – The Star Tribune's Joe Christensen reports that Minnesota has not made an offer to Fleck.

8:05 p.m. (Wednesday) – Michigan-based radio show "The Huge Show" tweeted that Minnesota has offered the job to Western Michigan head coach P.J. Fleck. Former Gophers hockey star, Pat Micheletti, believes it to be true based on a conversation he had with a person in the Western Michigan athletic department.

5:30 p.m. (Wednesday) – North Dakota State University athletic director Matt Larson told WDAY that nobody from the University of Minnesota has asked to talk to head coach Chris Klieman.
