Lizzo, in an effort to not slow down, to host VMA pre-show

Lizzo continues to have a solid year, finding yet another way to soar over us mere mortals.

She announced on Twitter and Instagram that she would be hosting the pre-show for the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night.

Lizzo will be co-hosting alongside DJ Khaled and Charlamagne Tha God starting at 7 p.m.

This marks another step in a big year for the Minneapolis-based hip-hop artist.

Earlier this year she signed with Atlantic Records and had the track "Good As Hell" on the "Barbershop: The Next Cut" soundtrack.

Furthering her connection to MTV, she will also be co-hosting a new series "Wonderland," the Star Tribune reported, which MTV describes as a "fresh new weekly music show" that will also feature standup comedy.

"Wonderland" is a partnership with Comedy Central and will launch sometime this fall.
