Lost snowmobiler tells incredible tale of survival

No food, no water, bitter cold temperatures and nothing but the howling north wind is how a Superior, Wis. man describes more than two days lost in no-man's land.

Craig Friebe is still recovering at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth, five weeks after spending two nights along the Nemadji River in temperatures as low as -20 and wind chills dipping into the -40s.

Friebe lost eight toes to frost bite and will undergo several surgeries before relearning to walk.

He tells KARE 11 how he managed to survive:
