Woman shot and killed on I-394 identified

Officials have identified the woman shot to death by Golden Valley Police on I-394 as Katherine Marie Gordon, 58, of California. Police said Gordon had possession of a handgun when she was pulled over. The Star Tribune reports she had a history of mental illness.

The Star Tribune reports Katherine Gordon told Edina police in July she heard voices she believed to be the devil. She asked to be locked up before she hurt herself or others. She was killed after a high speed chase. Police say she pointed a gun at the officer.

NDSU campus reopens after bomb threat, evacuation

Students at North Dakota State University in Fargo were evacuated Friday morning from classes after a bomb threat was made, the Valley News reports. An emergency message sent to students and posted on the university's website ordered all students and employees to leave campus by 10:15 am. A similar incident was reported at about the same time at the University of Texas at Austin.
