Man arrested in Duluth sword stabbing

Details are few, but police believe a man stabbed another with a sword in Duluth, the Duluth News Tribune reports.

Duluth police got a call about man who turned up at the Duluth Detoxification Center with a stab wound to his chest was sent to the hospital for treatment of the serious injury, the newspaper reports.

Officers followed a trail of blood through snow that led them to a nearby residence, where police arrested a 43-year-old Duluth man, the newspaper reports. He is likely to be charged with first-degree assault, police said.

The sword that investigators believe was used in the stabbing was found inside the residence, and police secured it as evidence.
