Man awaiting questioning in Eden Prairie missing person case shoots himself
A person of interest in the case of a missing Eden Prairie woman shot himself outside the city's police station Thursday. The search for the missing woman, 24-year-old Mandy Marie Matula, continues.
KARE 11 reports search dogs and volunteers have joined the effort to find Matula, who was last seen at Miller Park in Eden Prarie on Wednesday night with David Roe of Victoria, Minn.
A police spokeswoman tells the Pioneer Press authorities think Roe and Matula were together at the park at 1:30 a.m. Thursday. Investigators summoned Roe to the police station for an interview. Police say Roe shot himself in his vehicle in the parking lot at the Eden Prairie City Center.
KSTP reports Roe was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center but his condition was not immediately released.
