Man shot during gathering at Twin Cities home has died

Author:

A 20-year-old Minneapolis man has died after being shot during a gathering at a Columbia Heights home late Saturday night.

Police responded to the home just before midnight, where they discovered multiple people – including the victim – had left following the shooting, according to a news release.

Police said acquaintances later took the victim to Unity Hospital, and then he was transported to North Memorial Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

It's not clear what led to the shooting and there is no one in custody.

Police said they are looking into "multiple persons of interest" in connection with the shooting, but didn't release any other details.

KSTP is reporting the shooting happened on the 1200 block of Circle Terrace.
