Man fatally shot in Richfield home, police take 5 into custody

A 20-year-old man was shot and killed Saturday afternoon in Richfield, and five people have been taken into custody, according to preliminary reports from KARE 11 and the Pioneer Press.

The PiPress reports that police responded at 4:40 p.m. to a report of shots fired at a house in the 6900 block of 16th Avenue. Police found the victim, who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds, inside the home according to Richfield police, the paper reports.

KARE 11 says efforts to revive the man failed and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say they are not looking for any additional suspects and there is no danger to the community, the station reports.
