The man found dead at the side of Interstate 94 in Minneapolis on Saturday has been identified as 50-year-old Christopher Robert.
FOX 9 reports Robert's wife identified him Tuesday as a prominent doctor at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, where he serves as the chief of anesthesiology.
His body was found near the Groveland Avenue overpass early on Saturday, and for now his death remains a mystery. The medical examiner report says the cause and manner has yet to be determined, with Minneapolis police continuing to investigate.
His wife Kerry Ace, an emergency room doctor at St. Paul's Children's Hospital, is asking anyone with information to call the police, the Star Tribune reports.
She said he was returning to his downtown home from a workplace Christmas party before his body was discovered. She said his death was a "tragic end to an amazing man."
MPR reports they have an 18-year-old son and 11-year-old daughter together and have been married almost 20 years. Their family home is in Faribault though they keep a place in Minneapolis so they're closer to work.
"He was a wonderful man," she told MPR. "He gave up everything for his job and his patients and his family. And he will be completely missed."
