A suspect has been taken into custody after a man was fatally shot outside a Coon Rapids bar early Thursday, reports note.

The 29-year-old victim, identified as Rayontra Raydell McCall, of Fridley, was reportedly shot multiple times in the parking lot of Willy's Bar and Grill, located on Coon Rapids Boulevard northwest, before 1 a.m., Sun Focus reports. He was taken to Mercy Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, the Star Tribune notes.

Police have arrested a 44-year-old Ramsey man on suspicion of second-degree murder, KSTP says.

Police believe a dispute stemming from a poker game inside the bar led to the shooting, WCCO reports. Several shell casings were found in the parking lot, the news station notes.

Police have not said if the victim and the shooter knew one another prior to the incident, reports note.

"It's rare in our community to have an incident like this happen," Sgt. Rick Boone of the Coon Rapids Police Department told KARE 11.

A witness, who says she was at the bar Wednesday night, tweeted the man was shot twice and officials attempted CPR in the parking lot. She added, "It was the scariest situation I've ever been in. I'm just freaked out."

Willy's Bar and Grill is described as a "local watering hole" on the patron-review website Yelp. Police told the Star Tribune it is "not a huge problem place."
