After being seriously injured in a rollover crash on a snow-covered Le Sueur County road, a man and his best friend are now recovering together.

FOX 9 reports 37-year-old Andrew Storlie of Nerstrand, Minn. was reunited with his 140-pound mastiff, Abella, Thursday night.

The two were thrown from an SUV driven by Storlie's girlfriend when the vehicle lost control early Monday morning.

The one-year-old dog underwent surgery to have her leg amputated while Storlie was airlifted to a local hospital for a head injury, fractured vertebrae and bruised ribs.

FOX 9 has video of the reunion.
