A man was arrested Thursday morning after a woman was found dead and a man was wounded at a Mankato home.

The Mankato Free Press reports the injured man called 911 and told dispatchers that they'd been stabbed at the 1400 block of Second Avenue.

Police quickly tracked down the suspect, a young man, at a nearby Holiday gas station and placed him under arrest.

Neighbors tell the newspaper that the victims were married and the suspect often visited the couple, however the Star Tribune noted that police have not said what their relationships were.

Their identities have not been released.

In a news release, police say the alleged homicide an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting with the investigation.
