Man's body pulled from the Mississippi River


The body of a man was recovered from the Mississippi River in Minneapolis around noon Thursday, the Pioneer Press reports.

A Hennepin County sheriff's spokeswoman told the newspaper that the body was first spotted a half hour earlier near the Third Avenue Bridge, but was eventually pulled from the water near St. Anthony Main.

The body is now in the hands of the Hennepin County Medical Examiner, who will determine the man's identity.
