Minnesota for Marriage, the group supporting the constitutional amendment that would ban same-sex marriage, drew fire Wednesday when a verse from Leviticus was posted on its Facebook page, MPR reports. The verse says that if a man has sexual relations with a man "they are to be put to death." But a spokesman for the group says the group didn't post it. He said the Facebook page was hacked.
The post has generated more than 250 comments.
At least two other Facebook pages were hacked and anti-amendment posts made, including the Facebook page of Republican Kurt Bills, who is challenging DFL U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar, Politics In Minnesota reports.
The Facebook page of Catholic Marriage Matters MN was also hacked, group officials say.
