Mayo makes move into fast growing North Dakota oilfield region

The Mayo Clinic Care Network is expanding into North Dakota's Bakken region, the site of a population boom related to oilfield activity..

The Business Journal reports that Trinity Health will join the Care Network, which allows members to access to the clinic's resources and expertise. Trinity operates hospitals, skilled-nursing and long-term care facilities in the Minot area. It has more than 2,700 employers. It is the third health provider with operations in North Dakota to join the care network.

Mayo launched its care network in 2011 and has expanded to members in Arizona, Illinois, Michigan and New Hampshire.
