When all else fails, blame the Kardashians.

Rashad McCants, the former first-round pick of the Timberwolves in 2005, told the Charlotte Observer that his NBA career flamed out because of his relationship with Khloe Kardashian.

"Without that situation in play, I’m a $60-70 million player," McCants said. "Easily."

McCants was the first of many professional athletes and rappers Kardashian has dated since 2009. Us Weekly put together her dating timeline.

  • 2009: Rashad McCants
  • 2009: Derrick Ward
  • 2009-13: Lamar Odom
  • 2013: Matt Kemp
  • 2013-14: French Montana
  • 2015: Rick Fox
  • 2015-16: James Harden
  • 2016: Trey Songz
  • 2016-17: Tristan Thompson

McCants was traded from Minnesota to Sacramento in 2009, at which point he says he was "blackballed" from the NBA.

"I’ve been told, numerous conversations and numerous sources, that I’ve been blackballed," McCants said. "And it’s just the way the league is sometimes. When one person who is a higher-up, Hall of Famer, says don’t touch him, they won’t. And that’s just how it is."

Which Hall of Famer did it to him is the question. Kevin Garnett? Kevin McHale? We may never know.

McCants is now getting ready to play in the new three-on-three league made up of former players.
