Meet Uncle Fat, the junk food-loving monkey that's been put on a major diet

The internet empathizes with you, Uncle Fat.

This wild monkey loves junk food way too much. Now Uncle Fat, as he's called in Thailand, is on a very strict diet – against his will.

According to the Huffington Post, the morbidly obese monkey would eat junk food from tourists. He now weighs three times what he should, the Associated Press reports.

“He had minions and other monkeys bringing food for him” a veterinarian tells the Independent.

But Uncle Fat's reign came to an end when officials captured him and put him on a very strict diet. Now it's just lean protein, fruits and veggies.

Which is probably a good thing, because he's at pretty high risk for heart disease and diabetes.

Still, it's hard not to feel bad for the guy. We empathize with you, Uncle Fat.
