Emergency crews responded to the crash of Metro Transit bus Friday morning in the Uptown area of Minneapolis, WCCO-TV reports.
The crash was in the vicinity of West Lake Street and West Calhoun Parkway.
A number of first responders were called to the scene. The Star Tribune says six passengers and the driver were aboard the bus at the time of the crash, and all suffered minor injuries.
A number of the passengers were transported to the Hennepin County Medical Center, the station says. The passengers who didn't go the hospital were picked up by another Metro Transit bus.
Metro Transit spokesman Drew Kerr says the driver of the bus became unconscious while driving on Lake Street, around 6:40 a.m.
A driver of another Metro Transit bus following the unit witnessed the crash and called police.
KARE 11 reports that the bus went off West Lake Street into a heavily wooded area. Traffic is reportedly backed up for blocks and down to one lane.
A tow truck is on the scene to remove the bus.
KARE 11 also tweeted a photo from the scene.
