Miniature horse leads Fargo police on a low-speed chase

The brown-and-white 3-foot-horse named Jellybean led half a dozen officers through high-traffic areas Sunday afternoon. The Forum reports the pony was at a Girl Scout pet adoption event. Officers caught up with Jellybean after about 30 minutes.

It looks like horse racing might return to Fargo as soon as this summer after being shut-down for two years because of major debt. Forum Communications reports the horse park has paid off several thousand dollars and found new revenue streams. The commission is set to discuss racing dates later this month.

2 charged in looting of Fargo police car

Charges have been filed against two men in connection with an April incident in which a bulletproof vest, handcuffs and other equipment were stolen from a Fargo police officer’s unmarked, unlocked police vehicle. One of the men is believed to have taunted police on a police radio.
