A college lacrosse player from Coon Rapids who was injured in a bus accident that killed her pregnant coach is suing the bus company.
The Associated Press reports that lawyers for Seton Hill University freshman Amanda Michalski filed the suit Thursday against Mlaker Transportation. Michalski suffered multiple fractures and internal injuries, but is listed in good condition at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
Thirty-year-old coach Kristina Quigley, her unborn son and 61-year-old driver Anthony Guaetta were killed when the team bus veered off the Pennsylvania Turnpike and crashed. Michalski's lawyer says Guaetta was negligent and reckless.
The lawyer for Mlaker Transportation called the accident an unimaginable tragedy and said the company is cooperating with the investigation.
