Abdi Mahdi Hussein admitted in a St. Louis court that he wired $21,000 overseas under a false identity and in small amounts to evade detection. The charge is not a terrorism offense, but a codefendant in the case, Mohamud Abdi Yusuf of St. Louis, pleaded guilty in November to funding terrorists. Hussein, who worked for a financial services business at the time, admitted structuring the transactions for Yusuf.
