Minneapolis police are asking for the public's help after a "brazen sexual assault" in North Minneapolis over the weekend, according to a news release.

Police say a woman was reportedly forced into a van by three men near the intersection of Golden Valley Road and Girard Avenue North in North Minneapolis, according to the release. Police said she was sexually assaulted, before they forced her out of the vehicle in the Tangletown neighborhood, which is located near Irving, Hillside and James avenues north.

Investigators are hoping the public can help provide more information on the incident. The woman said the men involved were black and driving a white 12-passenger van (similar to the one pictured above), which didn't have the middle two rows of seating.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Minneapolis Police Department tip line at 612-692-TIPS (8477).
