It's a snow day Monday for schools in Minneapolis and St. Paul thanks to the historic weekend storm – with scores more schools also closed or delayed.

Even though the snow stops Sunday night, Minneapolis Public Schools said it's taking the decision for safety reasons, with buses likely to find it difficult to navigate side streets and small kids at risk on the roads.

Saint Paul Public Schools has followed suit, saying all schools, programs and athletics will be canceled.
