Minnesota home to one of nation's Top 10 sports bars?

USA Today has a new ranking of the nation's Top 10 sports bars, and there's one in Minnesota: Bar 508 in downtown Minneapolis.

USA Today notes that the bar is near the Timberwolves' home court in Target Center (it's also a few blocks from Target Field). The newspaper praises 508 for its craft brews and for fancy bar food (buffalo chicken wontons and truffle asparagus).

But here's a note of full disclosure: This ranking caught our eye because it's the after-work gathering spot for BringMeTheNews staffers on some Friday afternoons.

And, well, we gotta say ... we don't see it. We like the place – especially those wontons, and 508 has a nice selection of Minnesota beers on tap. And sure, it's convenient for a post-game crowd.

But other than a framed Twins jersey and some flat-screen TVs, there's not a lot about it that says "sports bar."

Just our opinion. With the Super Bowl, Olympics and March Madness looming, it raises a good question: What do you think is the best sports bar in Minnesota? Let us know in the comments below.
