From treehouses to impressive architecture to historic and haunted mansions, the website NewsCastic takes a look at 12 of the most impressive homes in Minnesota:

Among them: The Line Treehouse in Wadena. The 420-square foot rustic cabin is about 15 feet in the air, and includes a kitchen, bathroom, sitting area and and a loft with sleeping quarters, according to the Brainerd Dispatch. Will and Peggy Line built the treehouse, which is available to rent, in 2000, using materials from the sawmill they owned. It started when they wanted to build a "nice-sized" treehouse for their grandchildren and expanded into the home it is today, the newspaper reported.

Also on the list: The Chauncey Griggs Mansion, named after its original owner. The 10-bedroom Victorian-style home is said to have seven ghosts of former residents haunting it. The home is located on St. Paul's Summit Avenue, which boasts a string of homes dating back the Civil War-era. The Griggs Mansion, built in 1883, still has its original wood-paneled walls and stained glass.

Also on the list is the Lovness Studio in Stillwater. The two-bedroom home was designed by American architect Frank Lloyd Wright and built by hand by Virginia and Donald Lovness in 1955, according to the Star Tribune. The home features wood, stone and glass – staples for a tradition Wright design. The cantilevered roof makes it look like the home sprouted from the landscape, the Star Tribune reports. In 1972, the family built a cottage also designed by Wright. The architect also designed plans for three additional cottages to be built on the 20-acre property.

Of course, this list wouldn't be complete without the famous Mary Tyler Moore house. The Kenwood Parkway home in South Minneapolis features a sweeping front porch and has been significantly renovated since it was featured on the sitcom, according to the Star Tribune.

The house, more than a century old, was originally divided into apartments, but it has been redone into a single-family home.
