The first phase of the project will open in July. Officials in Williston are considering a new law to ban RVs within the city.

However, housing is a major issue throughout western North Dakota because of a surge of temporary workers in the oil rich area. The Fargo Forum reports there are up to 400 campers throughout the community that would be in violation of the proposed city ordinance.

The hub of North Dakota's oil boom issued a record number of building permits in 2011. The Williston Herald reports the city issued more than $355 million worth of permits. That is more than three times what Williston issued in 2009.
Airline boardings soar in North Dakota
Boardings at airports at airports across North Dakota are up 22 percent in the first six months of 2012 compared to the same period last year, Forum Communications reports. Boardings at airports near the oil boom in western North Dakota have skyrocketed -- up 73 percent in Dickinson, 62 percent in Minot and 41 percent in Williston.
