Evil Knievel died in 2007, so we know he doesn't live in Willmar, Minnesota, but a man who attempted a Knievel-like stunt from the roof of his house does.

According to an incident report from the West Central Tribune, a guy who apparently rigged up a homemade rocket bike with skis tried to launch from the roof of his house.

Needless to say, it didn't end well, crashing hard into a fence that left him cursing and injured.

This report is unbelievable.

This is the kind of thing that usually happens in Florida, not Minnesota.

It's fair to say it's going to go down as one of Minnesota's greatest newspaper clippings of all time.

Here's to a speedy recovery for Willmar's daredevil.
