Lois Riess, the woman accused of murdering her husband in Minnesota and another woman in Florida, is in custody.

The Dodge County Sheriff's Office has confirmed on Thursday evening that the 56 year old has been captured.

The U.S. Marshals Service announced that she was arrested without incident at a restaurant in South Padre Island, Texas on Thursday.

She has been on the run since the body of her husband, David Riess, was found shot dead at the Blooming Prairie Wax Worm Farm in late March.

After being spotted at a casino and gas stations in Iowa, she fled to Florida where she befriended a woman, Pamela Hutchinson, whom she is later accused of killing to assume her identity.

The News-Press reports South Padre Island is a resort town on the southern coast of Texas, connected to the mainland by single road, and not far from the Mexican border.
