A stabbing at Minnesota State University - Mankato caused tense moments on Friday afternoon.
The stabbing is believed to involved one suspect and one victim and was reported to have occurred on the 2nd floor of G wing in McElroy Hall, according to a report from the .
The Mankato Free Press reports that MSU officials confirmed the stabbing involved a non-student receiving a non-life threatening laceration to his hand in the G wing. The school has lifted the alert to students, but MSU officials did not say if a suspect was in custody.

Witnesses at the scene told the newspaper the victim was the boyfriend of a female student living in the dorm.
