Minnesota talent contest seeks contestants 50, older

Forget about the youths in "American Idol" -- a contest set to take place at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds Grandstand Building next month won't look at people under 50. WCCO-TV reports the Strut Your Stuff contest will be a part of the 50+ PrimeTime Living Expo Sept. 22 and 23 in St. Paul. Minnesota and Wisconsin residents are welcome to compete in the competition.

Siri Freeh, of Lake Park, was among 22 contestants in the 2012 Miss Minnesota Scholarship Pageant. Freeh, 22, is a nursing major at the University of Minnesota. In January, she will compete for the Miss America crown in Las Vegas.
