Minnesota volunteers wrap up work in tornado-ravaged Oklahoma


Minnesota volunteers who have been on the ground in Moore, Okla. are wrapping up their effort to support the community following the tornadoes in May.

KSTP reports that the volunteers have been in the tornado-ravaged community to provide mental health support and reconstruction assistance The volunteers are connected to the nonprofit Headwaters Relief Organization. They are expected to return home Monday.

The storm claimed 19 lives and caused millions of dollars in damage. On Saturday night, country music stars including Garth Brooks, Toby Keith played a sold-out show before 60,000 at the University of Oklahoma to raise money for storm victims.
