Minnesota woman rescued after vehicle rolls into water-filled ditch

A 57-year-old Litchfield woman was rescued from her overturned vehicle in a water-filled ditch near Hutchinson Tuesday evening, the Minnesota State Patrol says.

Sgt. Jesse Grabow said the vehicle ran off the road and rolled into a ditch that was filled with water. The driver was able to keep her head above water while she was trapped in the vehicle until she was rescued, WCCO says.

The incident was reported around 5:45 p.m. near Highway 7 and 200th Street, according to KSTP. Roads were snowy and icy.

The woman, Debra Decker, was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, media reports say.
