As many as 60,000 spectators are expected to watch Minnesota's 14th annual Nature Valley Grand Prix, the state's biggest bicycling race, a race organizer tells MPR.

The race starts Wednesday in the Twin Cities, and continues in stages through Sunday around the state, including races in Cannon Falls, Menomonie and Stillwater.

Racers will hit the streets Wednesday in downtown St. Paul. In uptown Minneapolis, the race's most popular circuit criterium is scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m. Friday.

Among the competitors is Jade Wilcoxson, the top woman road bike racer in the nation, MPR notes.
