Missing Duluth boy found safe


Duluth police reported that a 12-year-old boy, missing since Thursday afternoon, has been located.

The Duluth News Tribune reports that police on Saturday sought help finding the boy.

Lyrik James Schmelz was last seen boarding a school bus Thursday afternoon at Lincoln Park Middle School. When the bus arrived at his stop, Schmelz was not aboard.

The Duluth Police Department reported that the boy was found and is safe. No further details were available.
