Publish date:

Stearns County authorities say a Sartell woman who had been missing for two weeks was found Thursday, and investigators confirmed "she is safe and well," according to a news release.

The family of Sara Winscher, 36, reported her missing last Saturday, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office that asked for the public's help finding her.

Family members told authorities they hadn't heard from Winscher for about two weeks and they were concerned for her welfare.

Authorities said in the past, Winscher frequented the Clearwater Travel Plaza and the Uptown area in Minneapolis. They say she could also have been living out of her car.

Officials didn't specify Thursday where Winscher was or why she had disappeared.
