A man wanted for the murder of two Missouri women was arrested Friday morning in Minneapolis. The Star Tribune reports 29-year-old Darnell Vaughn of St. Louis called 911 around 4:30 a.m. to turn himself in, one day after authorities sought the public's help on finding the suspect. Vaughn was arrested near 3rd Avenue S. and S. 11th Street in downtown.
KSDK-TV, a St. Louis TV station, says Vaughn was charged with two counts of first-degree murder last week. Vaughn is currently being held at the Hennepin County Jail pending extradition to Missouri.
