Bunker Hills Golf Club in Coon Rapids has cleared the snow from the tee area on its outdoor driving range so die-hard golfers can swing their clubs in the 40-degree weather. (Seeing where your ball lands might be a little tough, though.)
The range will open at 8 a.m. Thursday, marking the earliest the course has ever opened, a news release says.
The plan is to keep the driving range open for as long as possible, weather permitting. The high Thursday in Coon Rapids is 39 degrees, while the high Saturday will climb to 41 – although it is expected to rain.
That may seem too cold to golf, so check out these cold weather golfing tips gathered by the PGA. They include having an adult beverage and making sure to move around.
Bunker Hills also has indoor golf simulators if you'd rather play inside to keep your hands from getting numb, but reservations for those are required.
