The distraught parents of a Minnesota woman slain in Arizona have described her as "the perfect child."

The body of Allison Feldman, 31, was found at a home in Scottsdale on Wednesday afternoon, with local police opening a homicide investigation, according to AZ Central.

Feldman is a former Minnetonka High School student who left Minnesota to study at the University of Arizona, and has been working in the Scottsdale area, FOX 9 notes.

Her parents still live in Minnesota, and father Harley Feldman described his daughter as "fun-loving and driven," as well as having a "big heart."

"She has a boyfriend, business is good. She had a review, customers love her, everything is upbeat, everything," he told ABC 15 in Arizona.

"The only thing I can say is she was a perfect child," he added.

Police aren't releasing details about how Feldman was killed and have no suspects at this time.

The family plans to hold services for Feldman in Minnesota.
