The Mall of America released more information on its highly anticipated ice castle attraction expected just in time for Christmas.

The Business Journal says Utah-based Ice Castles, LLC will begin building the frozen structures next month. Construction takes about four to six weeks.

According to the company's website, the Mall of America's ice structure will be one of the largest ever. Fifty ice towers organically grown from 4 million gallons of water will be connected to create a series of tunnels and caverns.

The illuminated fortress will be open to the public from late December through February. Tickets will cost $5 for children ages 3-12 and $10 for adults, according to the Journal.

This video shows ice castles similar to what will debut at Mall of America this winter:

Last seen at the St. Paul Winter Carnival in 2004, ice castles could be coming to the Mall of America by Christmas. The Bloomington Planning Commission will hold a hearing Thursday to decide whether to grant an interim use permit for Ice Castles LLC in partnership with the Mall of America. The event could draw 55,000 people to an illuminated fortress of ice.
