A third semi-truck slid into a frozen lake Friday afternoon. The Star Tribune reports the 18-wheeler crashed on I-494 near Rockford Road in Plymouth. No one was injured. This is the third time in a week that a semi had to be recovered from icy water. A semi traveling on Hwy. 14 near Waseca slid onto Clear Lake Wednesday afternoon. Last week, a semi pulling a Target trailer plunged into a pond along I-94 near Monticello.

Man found after getting lost in northern woods for 4 days

A man got lost in extremely thick woods north of Two Harbors for days without food or water. Forty-eight-year-old John Koepsell of Two Harbors was scouting for hunting season when his car overheated. After taking a short walk while the car cooled down, Koepsell got turned around. A rescue squad found the man dehydrated and hypothermic four days later.

Amphibious ATV coming soon, but it won't come cheap

Minnesota ATV and Jetski fans are going to love this – a four-wheel, single-rider ATV that at the push of a button converts to a water ride. The Quadski will be available by the end of the year for $40,000 from Michigan-based Gibbs Sports Amphibians Inc., the Associated Press reports.

Fargo responders rescue dog from icy river

A cold and whining black lab was only able to pull himself halfway onto the ice after falling in the Red River. Officials from the Fargo Fire Department donned ice rescue gear to pull the grateful pup from the water. The rescuer brought along a video camera as he wandered out onto the ice.
