Kevin Casserly of Anoka vanished on Nov. 11., and police have said that they think the 22-year-old father of two is dead.

But despite that, FOX 9 reported that more than 100 people showed up to search for him on Saturday in the sub-zero temperatures. Casserly's sister Alexandra organized the search, putting out the call for volunteers searchers on the Help Find Kevin Casserly Facebook page. People who showed up to helped walked through knee deep snow in some places.

Casserly's brother brother Daniel Casserly spent much of Saturday scouring a trailer park in Coon Rapids. Based on tips, Casserly believes his younger brother could be buried nearby.

Details of the case have been updated on the Minnesota United Facebook page, maintained by Steve Matula, whose younger sister Mandy of Eden Prairie was missing for months earlier this year. Matula and other Minnesota United volunteers were on the ground in Anoka County to join the search for Casserly. Matula said he wants to bring experience and encouragement to the Casserly family.

The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has issued a missing-person alert for the man. At the time of his disappearance, Casserly's car was found with an empty tank of gas. None of his belongings were missing from his apartment.Anoka County sheriff's officials have not released any official statement since his disappearance, although the Casserly family said investigators are speaking to people of interest and have followed up on dozens of tips from the community.

Casserly has a history of methamphetamine use and a criminal record. The Pioneer Press reported that he has multiple convictions, including four felonies,

reported that he but his family has said that he has made progress in his recovery, is employed and a devoted father to his two young children.
