The mother of twin daughters with learning disabilities who were raped by their father has been charged with criminal neglect.
A warrant has been served for Shelia Machelle Wilson, 48, of 17th Avenue South, Minneapolis, who is facing charges that allege cruel treatment of her three daughters, two of whom are now adult twins.
Her partner, Jerry Lee Curry, was arrested in Minneapolis on Wednesday and charged with treatment of the twins, now 20, that was tantamount to torture.
The charges also allege he raped both the women over a period of years, fathering two children with one of them.
The case against Wilson states that she was a party to the neglect of her daughters, including the twins for whom she is the legal caregiver owing to their neurological disorders.
During their upbringing, they told police they would be chained up to their parents' bedroom door by both Curry and Wilson for days at a time, and deprived of food as punishment for misbehavior.
One of the twins had her head stomped on by Curry, causing blindness in one eye that she's unlikely to recover from.
Wilson has still not been located by authorities, with the charges issued on Thursday alongside a warrant for her arrest.
She has been charged with two counts of criminal neglect and one of neglect of a child.
