Needing cap space to sign free agents Jeff Teague and Taj Gibson, the Timberwolves renounced Shabazz Muhammad's rights earlier this month making him an unrestricted free agent and now he's gaining interest from other teams.

According to ESPN's Marc J. Spears, the Atlanta Hawks, Brooklyn Nets, Milwaukee Bucks and New York Knicks are all targeting Muhammad

The 24-year-old forward was drafted by the Timberwolves in 2013 playing in four seasons with Minnesota. Muhammad was a solid player off the bench shooting 47 percent from the floor while averaging just under 10 points per game.

With Minnesota renouncing his rights, it's unlikely the Wolves will bring him back. With free agents getting big money on the open market, he's likely to make more money playing for another team.

Plus the Timberwolves have limited cap space as it is, and the team has yet to announce the signing of Jamal Crawford who reportedly agreed to a two-year contract with Minnesota over the weekend.
