Kawhi Leonard is not expected to play Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals and Spurs head coach is Gregg Popovich isn't happy why.

Leonard left with an ankle injury after coming down on Zaza Pachulia's foot during the third quarter of Sunday's Game 1. San Antonio led by as many as 25 with Leonard in the game and then lost a 23-point lead and the game after Leonard's exit.

Did Pachulia try to hurt Leonard? Leonard says no. Popovich says yes.

"The two step, lead with your foot closeout is not appropriate," said Popovich on Monday. "It's dangerous, it''s unsportsmanlike, it's just not what anybody does to anybody else. This particular individual has a history with that kind of action. ... A totally unnatural closeout that the league has outlawed – years ago – and pays great attention to it."

"We're up 23 points in the third quarter against Golden State and Kawhi goes down... like that," Popovich added. "And you want to know if our chances are less and you want to know how we feel? That's how we feel."

Popovich probably has the memory to know a dirty play when he sees it. He coached Bruce Bowen, who admitted that he was trying to injure opponents by sticking his foot under them.
