Must see: Vonn wins and screams of joy in her return from a severely broken arm
Thousands of years from now, people – and probably aliens because they'll inhabit the earth by then – will be talking about the legend of Lindsey Vonn, the athlete who couldn't be kept from the winner's circle.
Vonn's latest triumph came early Saturday when she won a downhill race a little more than three months after severely breaking the humerus bone in her right arm. And she won in just her second race back. Wait for her reaction at the end of the video.
According to NBC Sports, "Vonn screamed repeatedly after crossing the finish line and seeing she was ahead of Swiss Lara Gut."
The win gives Vonn 77 career World Cup victories, just nine wins shy of breaking the all-time record.
"Words can't describe how happy I am right!!! Hard work pays off in the end!! I did it!!" Vonn tweeted.
